Team Tobati Twenty Gameplan

05:29 Hs.            Arrival at Silvio Pettirossi’s Airport (Asuncion), 81 people flying from New York. (New York- Panama- Paraguay), via Copa, Flight #291
                            After getting visas in the airport (takes two hours) the team travels from Asuncion to Tobati (takes 90 minutes) where they will be distributed to their respective hosting families for a brief rest.
 
12:00 Hs.                    LUNCH at Assigned Locations
 
13:30 - 15:30 Hs.       General meeting of the 2018 Team Tobati’s delegation at the Central Headquarters (main meeting point during the trip, also known as Mama Garcia’s House). From there, everyone goes to the Juan Carlos Garcia’s Sport Complex where there will be some integration games with the Macchi High School students. Likewise, the trip coordinator will give some instructions of the game plan for the rest of the trip.
 
15:30   - 17:00 Hs.     8 groups leave from the Sport Complex for their first activities.

  • LA MAQUINA, making wood crafts in Rosado.
  • LOS REBELDES, works at the Macchi School garden
  • FUERZA, working on pottery in 21 de Julio.
  • FUEGO, works in brick factories.
  • UNIDAD, Prepares dance choreography at Macchi School
  • JOVENES, dance choreography at the Macchi School.
  • SOLDADOS, cleaning by the local stream.

19:30 Hs.     General Meeting at the Central Headquarters to head out to the Macchi School for the Official Welcoming and Inauguration of the 2018 Team Tobati Activities! We are celebrating the 20th March Service Trip.
 
Tuesday, March 13th
 
6:30 Hs                       BREAKFAST at Assigned Locations
 
07:00 Hs.                    The delegation assembles at the Central Headquarters to go to the Macchi School to participate in the school’s formation (singing the US and Paraguay’s National Anthem)
 
All the groups will leave from the Macchi School to their respective work places.
 
08:00 - 11:30 Hs.       8 groups leave for their service work.

  • LA MAQUINA, works on its dance choreography and then visits student’s houses.
  • LOS REBELDES, visits student’s houses and then goes to the Macchi School to prepare their choreography.
  • FUERZA, goes to a sugarcane plantation.
  • FUEGO, helps in the local Hospital.
  • UNIDAD, works in a school in Florida.
  • JOVENES, practice making handcraft/woodwork in Rosado.
  • SOLDADOS, making pottery in 21 de Julio.
  • ENERGIA, distributes soccer balls and toothbrushes in Isla Guazu – San Felipe and spends some time with the local kids.

13:45 - 17:15 Hs.       4 groups leave from the Central House to go work.

  • UNIDAD, Works at the Macchi School, painting bookshelves.
  • JOVENES, works in a school in Florida.
  • SOLDADOS, visits schools in Loma Verde and Ensenada, distributes soccer balls and toothbrushes, spend some time with the local kids.
  • ENERGIA, goes to Ariel’s house, working in the farm.

19:30 Hs.                         General Meeting at Central Headquarters to head out to the Juan Carlos Garcia’s Sport Complex where all the groups will play soccer, volleyball, basketball and spend time with the Macchi School students.

  • UNIDAD, helps at the local Hospital.
  • JOVENES, goes to Costa Alegre School
  • SOLDADOS, dance rehearsal, then visits students’ houses.
  • ENERGIA, visits students’ houses and then goes to the Macchi School for their dance rehearsal.
 
8:15 - 11:45 Hs.         4 groups leave from the Central Headquarters.

  • LA MAQUINA, works at the Macchi School Garden.
  • REBELDES, works in a School in Florida.
  • FUERZA, making woodcraft in Rosado.
  • FUEGO, goes to a sugarcane plantation.

19:30 Hs.     All the delegation gathers at the Central Headquarters to head out to the Macchi School for the KERMES, 5th edition. Students and teachers will each pay $10 for this fair. It is a fundraiser for the Macchi School.
 
Thursday, March 15th

08:00 - 11:30 Hs.       4 groups leave from Central Headquarters.

  • MAQUINA, rehearsal at the Macchi School and then takes Guarani classes.
  • REBELDES, takes Guarani classes and then has rehearsal.
  • FUERZA, visits school in San Miguel, and San Rafael to distribute soccer balls and toothbrushes.
  • FUEGO, works in a school in Florida.
 
08:15 - 11:45 Hs.       4 groups leave from Central Headquarters.

  • UNIDAD, goes to a sugarcane plantation
  • JOVENES, helps at the local Hospital.
  • SOLDADOS, works in Costa Alegre School.
  • ENERGIA, goes to the Macchi School for some painting.

14:00 - 18:00 Hs.       4 groups (Energia, Jovenes, Soldados, and Maquina) leave from Central Headquarters to go visit Rosado (making bricks, buying some woodwork, hiking, and some traditional San Juan games are scheduled for the afternoon).
 
14:30 - 18:00 Hs.      4 groups (Fuego, Fuerza, Rebeldes, Unidad) leave from the Central House to go visit Rosado.

19:30  Hs.  General gathering at the Central House to head out to the J. C. Garcia’s Sport Complex for a soccer tournament with the Macchi students.
 
Friday, March 16th

  • JOVENES, visits schools in Villa de Mercedes, Mompox, and Santa Rosa to distribute toothbrushes and spend time with the kids.
  • SOLDADOS, works at the local Hospital.
  • ENERGIA, goes to a sugarcane plantation.

  • SOLDADOS, rehearses dance choreography and then takes Guarani classes.

19:30 Hs.  All the delegation meets at the Central House to go have a great night at the “NOCHE PARAGUYA” or San Juan Festival at the Macchi School. There will be plenty of traditional games and food. All proceeds goes to the Macchi School.
 
Saturday, March 17th

8:30 Hs. ALL THE GROUPS GATHER AT THE CENTRAL HOUSE TO GO HAVE A FINAL REHEARSAL OF THEIR DANCES AT THE MACCHI SCHOOL.
 
11:30- 11:45, EVERYONE, after finishing their rehearsal, goes to the Villa Artesanal, where they can buy handmade souvenirs

12:00 - 14:50 Hs.       LUNCH AND REST at assigned locations (this time can be used to get ready everything you need for the dance show).
 
15:00 - 17:00 Hs.       General Meeting in the Central Headquarters to go see the Tobati Hills. 
 
18:00 Hs.        DINNER at assigned locations
 
19:00 Hs.      EVERYONE GATHERS AT THE CENTRAL Headquarters TO HEAD OUT TO THE MACCHI SCHOOL. “NIGHT OF THE STARS” SHOW / DANCE COMPETITION.
