Support Team Tobati 2026
Please help support the 2026 team's drive to support the Macchi School. During our March service trip, the team will work and fund all these projects during our time in Paraguay. Spread this information to your family, friends, and also to busniesses who might be interested in supporting our community service trip. Our goal is to raise $32,000 to strengthen the Macchi School in Tobati, Paraguay.
Team Tobati is a 4 star (out of 4) rated charity. Click for details.
In Tobati, Paraguay, where poverty significantly limits opportunities, the Macchi School is transforming lives by providing free, high-quality education to 7th-12th graders from disadvantaged backgrounds. Team Tobatí 2026 is working to strengthen and back the mission of the Macchi School by funding dozens of projects and initiatives (listed below). 100% of all donations will go directly towards funding of this great school. Team Tobatí is a tax-exempt charity as described in IRS section 501(c)(3). A letter of receipt will be sent to all donors. If you are donating in response to the efforts of a specific student traveling with Team Tobati 2026, please let us know under the check memo or Venmo/Zelle notes. We'd love to add a plaque or a small acknowledgment of your support at the school.

Below is a letter from Ariel Gonzalez (vice director at the Macchi School) highlighting some other potential items to bring in your donation bag.
Seeds for the garden: We have almost 100 kids eating lunch at school, and they love fresh veggies and fruits. Please help us grow our own organic goods.
COPA weight limit is 50 pounds per bag. We can each check in one bag for free along with our carry on item. This bag can be filled with our own items along with some donated items or you can check in a second bag with donated items but this would cost you $100.

- All colors of paint
- Colored paper
- Regular pencils and colored pencils
- Markers for fabric
- Highlighters or sharpies

- Tomatoes: we usually grow Plum tomatoes, Roma, Beefsteak, or Brandywine because of fruit size and we need them mostly for sandwiches and salads.
- Peppers: more suitable for our school garden are bell pepper, Anaheim, and sweet banana pepper. Just go easy on the spicy varieties, students don´t eat a lot of spicy food here.
- Onions: any green onion and red, sweet, or yellow root onion.
- Lettuces: we mostly grow and consume big green leafy lettuces, romaine and iceberg are very suitable. If possible, we would also love to grow some purple ones.
- Carrots: Nantes, Danvers, Imperator, sounds like big roots.
- Green or yellow summer squash, and eggplants also go to the menu once in a while.
- Watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe. They are very tasty and refreshing, especially during the summer heat.
