From March 7 - March 18, Team Tobati 12 will fund and/or work on the following projects and programs: 

Final Classroom at the Reinaldo Macchi Institute – Team Tobati 2010 will construct the final classroom at the Renaldo Macchi Institute.  This classroom will allow the school to have grades seven through 12, a full middle and high school.  The Institute was one of the original projects started in Tobati and is at the core of Team Tobati’s efforts to increase the education opportunities offered to the poor of the district.

Hospital Staffing - Team Tobati 2010 will donate funds to staff Tobati’s public clinic with additional doctors, nurses, and staff for a full year.

Classroom in Costa Alegre, Tobati:  Team Tobati 2010 will construct a classroom at the public high school in the poor rural village of Costa Alegre, Tobati.  This will be the fifth classroom that Team Tobati has built at this school and will serve as the home of the school’s 11^th grade.

Classroom at Santa Teresita School:  Team Tobati 2010 will construct a classroom, which will be the home of the school’s 9^th grade.  It will be the third classroom built by Tobati at this public school and will finish the middle school.

Classroom at San Rafael School in 21 de Julio, Tobati:  Team Tobati 2010 will construct a classroom, which will serve as the home of the school’s third grade.  It will be the third classroom built by Tobati at this public grade school.

Sidewall at Team Tobati Plaza – Team Tobati 2010 will construct a one block sidewalk surrounding this new public plaza and park.

Local Parks – Team Tobati 2010 will repaint and work to maintain two children’s parks in the town of Tobati.  Both parks were built by Team Tobati in previous years.

School Visits – Team Tobati 2010 will visit every school in the town and the 21 surrounding villages of the district of Tobati.  During these visits, the team will bring soccer balls for each school and fluoride and toothbrushes for each student. 

Work at Tobati’s Public Hospital – Along with assisting doctors and nurses, Team Tobati 2010 will work on the re-tiling of the walls on a portion of the local hospital.

Parochial Home – Team Tobati 2010 will paint this residential facility, which is used for seminary retreats.

Recreational Outdoor Floor / Athletic Court – Team Tobati 2010 will build an outdoor multi-use athletic floor for Conadomi public high school.

Recreational Outdoor Floor / Athletic Court - Team Tobati 2010 will build an outdoor multi-use athletic floor for the local public grade school of Santa Teresita in the town of Tobati.

Repainting School in Florida, Tobati– Team Tobati 2010 will repaint the public grade school in the rural village of Florida, Tobati.

Smaller Brick Factories – Team Tobati 2010 will work at a series of small brick and tile factories alongside Paraguayan workers throughout the department of Tobatí. The construction of bricks is the main source of work in the department of Tobatí.

Larger Brick Factories – Team Tobati 2010 will work at one of the larger big brick factories alongside Paraguayan workers. The majority of men and boys in the area work in brick factories. 

Sugarcane Fields - Team Tobatí 2010 will work in the sugar cane fields alongside Paraguayan workers. The team will be weeded and clearing out the fields. Along soybeans and cotton, sugar is one of Paraguay’s main agricultural products.

Potential Project:  The team is currently seeking donations in order to construct a classroom in the rural village of Mompox, Tobati.  This classroom would be for the construction of a high school in the village.  It would house the school’s 10^th grade.  High school in Paraguay is from the 10^th through 12^th grade.
