Alumni Trip: Return to Glory

In June 2005, a small Team Tobatí alumni group returned to Paraguay to again work with and assist the poor of Tobatí, Paraguay. The team worked on the construction of a classroom at CONADOMI high school in the center of Tobatí. The squad also installed windows at a half dozen rural schools, installed water pipes at poor rural homes, and also worked in Tobatí sugar cane fields. This very successful trip is part of the team's ongoing efforts to make Team Tobatí an organization that young people can be part of for a long time and not just a commitment during high school. The college students that made up the first ever TT alumni trip greatly enjoyed returning to the small community of Tobatí and again working to help the region. Click below to see pictures.

Working in the Sugarcane fields
The team spent a day working in the sugarcane fields and visiting the local refining factory.

Working and playing at San Jose Obero school
The alumni team spent considerable time working and playing at the small school in the poor San Jose Obrero school just outside central Tobati. The team worked on the construction of a classroom at this three room elementary school, which primarily serves the children of brick factory workers.

Construction of classrooms in rural villages
The team worked each day finishing the construction of classrooms at rural schools, which were started by the March service trip. The team installed windows and performed other similar tasks.

The team spent siginificant time working on the construction of a classroom at CONADOMI high school. The team worked with hard along with Tobati high school students.

Trip to Asuncion
The team took a trip to Asuncion, the country's capital. Stopping to see the Presidential Palace, the Old Congress building and various other landmarks.
